Haven’t You Heard? I’m Sakamoto anime review

sakamoto-posterSakamoto is a first year high school student with a love of birds who does everything perfectly no matter how weird those things may actually be. This is a comedy anime without a specific plot. Each episode involves either Sakamoto or someone on Sakamoto’s class getting into some sort of problem which Sakamoto must solve using his strange ability to do everything perfectly even if it appears physically impossible. Though there is not a major plot this anime has several running gags related to certain characters. After something happens in the anime it is touched upon later for a running gag.

screenshot-124This is a funny anime and though the title characters main character trait is literally perfection which is a big no-no in fiction it is done so well in this anime that it is not only acceptable but also makes this anime funnier than your typical high school comedy which focuses on a male main character. I don’t really have much to say about this anime otherwise. No character is underutilized. My one complaint is the treatment of a certain character who is slightly overweight.

screenshot-123I would recommend this anime to anyone who wants to watch something funny. This is the perfect anime to watch if you are feeling sad or stressed. It is currently available for streaming on Crunchy Roll if you want to watch it.This is one of the best comedy anime’s that I have watched so far.

Final Rating – 39.9/50

  1. While I enjoyed parts of this I only got to episode 8 and then just didn’t feel any need to continue. There’s no compelling overall reason to keep watching and after awhile the gags get repetitive. Still, it is pretty funny and watching individual episodes or segments can be quite amusing.
    Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
