A Million Words

They say a picture is worth a thousand words,

but I don’t think that’s the case.

Each detail has an infinite way to describe it,

each atom has its own name.

I can write down the broadest sensations,

the wooshing of the wind,

the rustling of leaves in the tree,

the roar of the oceans waves,

the song of the morning bird;

but even that will take many words.

Is a picture worth a thousand words?

I don’t think so.

Rather each picture is worth

at least a million words.
